Board your flight and fly to Montreal. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your tour guide. Enjoy a motorcoach tour of the city. Afterwards, check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and your stay in Montreal.

After breakfast, travel to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. On the way, stop at the Copper Art of Albert Gilles and learn about 85 years of savoir faire. Gilles’ art is found in churches all over North America. After time for lunch, visit the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and spend your day at this site, where over 1.5 million pilgrims come each year to express their devotion to the mother of the Virgin Mary, to whom this site has been consecrated since the mid-17th century. Celebrate Mass in the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré followed by a tour of the basilica. See the depiction of Sainte Anne, known as The Statue of Miracles, and place your prayers of petition at its base. Wander the museum, seeing the annals of devotion to Sainte Anne down through the centuries and learn the stirring story of pilgrimages to the shrine. Participate in the Stations of the Cross. Following dinner at a local restaurant, join in the Rosary and Candlelight Procession. Stay overnight in Quebec City.

This morning, celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Quebec, THE OLDEST PARISH in North America, and see the Holy Door. Following Mass, visit Notre-Dame-des-Victories Church. Travel to Montmorency Falls, just east of Quebec City, at the mouth of the Montmorency River. The falls are over 250 feet high, the highest in the province, and 88 feet higher than Niagara Falls. Finally, continue to Trois-Rivieres and the Our Lady of the Cape Shrine. Your dinner and overnight stay are in Trois-Rivieres.

Enjoy a visit to Our Lady of The Cape. The celebration of Mass will be at the Basilica of Notre-Dame-du-Cap on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. The Basilica of Notre Dame, midway between Montreal and Quebec City, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, is a place of peace, tranquility, and beauty. It goes back to 1634 when the area was first settled. The following year, the first Jesuit Missionaries arrived to serve the settlers of the new village. The first little chapel was built here in 1659 on a small piece of land known as Blessed Mary’s fief. Five years later it was to become the first Catholic church in Canada to be dedicated as a Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. Join in the afternoon Rosary, followed by free time at the shrine. Visit the Museum of Fr. Frederic Janson and the Museum of the Ursulines before driving to Montreal.

Visit Saint Joseph’s Oratory, built atop Mount Royal. This sacred place was long the life’s work of Brother André, canonized in 2010. Here, you will learn about the extraordinary life of Brother André of the Holy Cross. The Oratory has room for 10,000 people and attracts visitors who seek a haven of peace and a spiritual encounter. There are several such temples in the Christian world of the Occident. Only three are found at the heart of important cities: St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, the Sanctuary of Montmartre in Paris and Saint Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal. Enjoy a guided tour of the Oratory, where your confessions will be heard, and you will celebrate Mass together. Your day ends with a visit to Notre-Dame Basilica, one of the most beautiful churches in all of North America. You can choose to see the sound and light show at Notre-Dame Basilica this evening on your own. Have dinner and stay overnight in Montreal.

Following breakfast this morning, Celebrate Mass at the Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral. The Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde, is the seat of the Archdiocese of Montreal. The basilica was visited in 1951 by Monsignor Giovanni Battista Montini, future Pope Paul VI, and in 1969 by Cardinal Karol Wojtyla, the future Pope John Paul II. Pope John Paul II would again visit in 1987 and was the first pope to visit Canada. Following Mass, we enjoy some free time before we bid Canada farewell and depart for the airport and our return flight home. Though our Canada pilgrimage has come to an end, the blessings of our time with the Lord and Our Lady are certain to strengthen and encourage us throughout our lifelong pilgrimage.
