Day 1 Day 1 - Travel to Branson
Upon arrival in Branson, check in to your hotel.
Day 2 Day 2 - Smoke on the Mountain Morning Show & Shepherd of the Hills
Enjoy the smoke on the Mountain show his morning. This musical comedy will take you back to the year 1938. You will follow the Sanders Family Singers as you and the rest of the audience play the part of the Mount Pleasant Church's congregation as you all attend the church's first Saturday Night Sing. You'll be treated to gospel songs, such as 'I'll Fly Away' and 'Church in the Wildwood' along with the comedic antics of the actors who portray the black sheep in each of our families. The entire family will be enchanted by the awesome vocal talent performing traditional gospel tunes. In between reverent renditions of old favorites, you'll see great comedic acting. The side-splitting fun never seems to end. This show is great for the whole family! Then following a lunch break you visit the Shepherd of the Hills Farm. This is the authentic setting of the word-famous novel, Shepherd of the Hills. Now in modern day, you explore the setting of the where the Ozarks began. Plus, your little ones can have a blast in our Lil Pete’s Playland. History comes to life on a tour of the Shepherd of the Hills Farm. Dinner is an authentic Ozark dining experience at the Shepherd’s Mill Restaurant. When you step into the restaurant, you will placed back into time of Shepherd of The Hills. While you are in there, take a walk around to find all the meanings behind the decor. The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama is the action-packed live reenactment of the famous historical novel by Christian minister, Harold Bell Wright. Published in 1907, this beautiful story tells of life in the rugged Ozark Mountains of Missouri in the late 1800’s. There are over 90 actors and actresses, horses, sheep, mules and donkey’s perform on a stage the size of a football field. There’s a shoot-out, the actual burning of a log cabin, a love story, a mystery and a moral message that is as true today as it was over a century ago.
Day 3 Day 3 - Free Day in Branson & Queen Esther Show
Enjoy a free day to explore Branson on your own. Tonight travel to the Sound and Light Theater to see the amazing show: Queen Esther. See Horses, Camels and an Elephant as you are transported to a setting of the Persian Empire where Esther's ordinary life is upturned once she is taken to the palace to live her new life of royalty. It's not without risk though - the Persian Empire is beautiful yet dangerous. Watch as Esther, with her new crown upon her head, faces trials she never would have imagined for herself, and trusts in God to bring her to her destiny and see her through the struggles.
Day 4 Day 4 - Holy Land Tour and The Great Passion Play
On arrival in Eureka Springs your group will enjoy The New Holy Land Tour. It provides you with the unique opportunity to experience the people, culture, and history of the ancient Middle East. You will explore the ancient Middle-Eastern culture in which Jesus was raised and will meet characters from the time of Moses to the time of Christ. As you tour through the New Holy Land, your guide will explain each exhibit and will stop along the way to allow you to meet Biblical characters who will help you understand the living history of the scriptures. Each of the individual exhibits in the Holy Land Tour have been researched for historical accuracy and have been recreated as authentically as possible, here you will: - Speak with a "Levitical Priest" in the full-scale replica of Moses', - Visit a replica of a first century Inn typical of the type where Mary and Joseph may have asked for shelter, - Walk beside the "Sea of Galilee" with Simon Peter as he speaks of his last days with Jesus, - and Visit to the upper room where Jesus and his disciples feasted for the Last Supper. Enjoy dinner in the Great Passion Play's Great Hall Buffett before finally enjoying the Great Passion Play. The performance begins with the resurrection of Lazarus and continues on the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem on the day known as Palm Sunday. During the performance you will witness the significant events leading to and including Christ's crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven. You will see the colorful spectacle of the market place, the pageantry of the chariot and camel caravan, and the hustle and bustle of the crowds as they go about their daily activities. You may especially enjoy seeing the live animals on the streets of Jerusalem, the poignant healing, the angel rolling away the stone at the tomb, and the dramatic and exciting ascension of Jesus into the night sky. Hundreds of actors and actresses, live animals, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting create an unforgettable experience for you under the stars.
Day 5 Day 5 - Travel Home
Depart for home with fond memories of a wonderful tour.
