Daily Itinerary

Day 1 May 21 – Depart the USA

Your adventure begins as you depart the USA on an overnight flight.

Day 2 May 22 – Arrive in Cairo

You will be welcomed at the Cairo airport by our representative and transferred to your hotel to enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 3 May 23 – Aswan

Fly to Aswan this morning. Sail the Nile on a traditional Felucca around Kitcheners Island. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day 4 May 24 – Aswan Dam, Temple of Philae & Kom Ombo

Tour the Aswan High Dam, the pride of modern Egypt. Visit the Agha Khan Moslem, the Granite Quarries to see the unfinished obelisk, and finally to the Temples of Philae where you will visit the Great Temples of Isis and Hathor. Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the only temple dedicated to two contrasting gods: Sobek, crocodile headed god of the underworld, and Haroeris, the winged god of the sky. Enjoy dinner and overnight on your Nile Cruise Ship.

Day 5 May 25 – Edfu & Luxor

Visit one of the best preserved temples of Egypt located at Edfu. This temple was dedicated to the god Horus, the principal of Resurrection. He is depicted in his role as avenger of his father, Osiris, who was murdered by his brother Seth. Continue sailing to Esna and cross the Nile Locks on your way to Luxor. Enjoy dinner and overnight on your Nile Cruise Ship.

Day 6 May 26 – Luxor

In Luxor visit the vast burial city called the Necropolis of Thebes, located on the West Bank of the Nile. Your visit will take you to the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, the Valley of the Kings, and the nearby Valley of the Queens. Visit the magnificent, Temple of Luxor with its avenue of sphinx statues and mighty monumental columns Continue to the Karnak Temple which was built over 2000 years and is the largest religious building ever constructed, and see the famed Hypostyle Hall, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon, the Granite Scarabeus and the Sacred Lake. Fly to Cairo this evening and enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7 May 27 – Memphis, Saqqara, the Great Pyramids & the Sphinx

Tour the rural region of traditional Egyptian farming. Travel as Abraham did to Memphis (Biblical Noph) and on to Saqqara, where you will see the Step Pyramid, the world’s oldest stone structure. Afterwards, visit the Pyramids of Giza, constructed over 1,000 years before the birth of Moses. See the Great Sphinx and you can choose to ride a camel in the desert near the Pyramids. Return to your hotel in Cairo for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 May 28 – Cairo

Visit the Egyptian Museum which holds 7,000 years of Egyptian history and includes the world-famous golden treasures from King Tutankhamun ‘s tomb. Tour the Old City and see the Citadel of Saladin, built in 1183 A.D., and view the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. In Old Cairo, visit the Abu Serge Church built over the traditional site of the house where the Holy Family lived during their stay in Egypt. Prepare for your return flight home.

Day 9 May 29 – Return to the USA
