Daily Itinerary

Day 1 October 12 – Depart the USA

Depart the USA on an overnight flight

Day 2 October 13 – Arrive in Cairo

Our representative will welcome you to Cairo airport and take you to your hotel. There, you will enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 3 October 14 – Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza

Today’s sightseeing begins with visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum to view the unique Pharaonic art and antiquities collection. Later, visit the Pyramids of Giza, one of the only existing Wonders of the Ancient World, and the nearby Great Sphinx of Giza, the largest and most well-known Sphinx. Relax at your hotel this afternoon.

Day 4 October 15 – Old Cairo

Tour the Old City, see the Citadel of Saladin, built in 1183 A.D., and view the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. In Old Cairo, visit the Abu Serge Church, built over the traditional site of the house where the Holy Family lived during their stay in Egypt.

Day 5 October 16 – Fly to Aswan / Cruise Embarkation

Following breakfast, board your flight destined for Aswan. Embark on your Nile Cruise before Lunch. This afternoon, visit the Aswan High Dam, a source of pride in modern Egypt. Visit the Agha Khan Moslem, the Granite Quarries to see the unfinished obelisk, and finally, the Temples of Philae, where you will visit the Great Temples of Isis and Hathor.

Day 6 October 17 – Kom Ombo

Today, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the only temple dedicated to two contrasting gods: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of the underworld, and Haroeris, the winged god of the sky. Return to the ship and cruise to Edfu.

Day 7 October 18 – Edfu & Luxor

This morning, you will visit one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, located in Edfu. This temple was dedicated to the god Horus, the principal of Resurrection. He is depicted as the avenger of his father, Osiris, who was murdered by his brother Seth. Continue sailing to Esna and cross the Nile Locks to Luxor. Visit the magnificent Temple of Luxor, which has an avenue of sphinx statues and mighty monumental columns. Continue to the Karnak Temple, which was built over 2000 years ago and is the largest religious building ever constructed, and see the famed Hypostyle Hall, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon, the Granite Scarabaeus and the Sacred Lake.

Day 8 October 19 – Valley of the Kings and Queens / Cruise Disembarkation

In Luxor, visit the vast burial city called the Necropolis of Thebes on the West Bank of the Nile. Your visit will take you to the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, the Valley of the Kings, and the nearby Valley of the Queens. This afternoon, board your flight en route to Sharm el Sheik.

Day 9 October 20 – Sharm el Sheik

Today is yours to relax and explore Sharm el Sheik on your own.

Day 10 October 21– Sharm el Sheik

Today is yours to relax and explore Sharm el Sheik on your own.

Day 11 October 22 – St. Catherine's

Travel to Mt Sinai and St Catherine’s Monastery, built in the 6th century to protect what was believed to be the "Burning Bush.” Enjoy a short hike of Mt Sinai and later enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner.

Day 12 October 23 – Exodus Route

Travel to Cairo via the Exodus route. Overnight in Cairo and prepare for your flight home.

Day 13 October 24 – Return to the USA
